Dear Sir; I am distinctly opposed to your proposals for increased armaments to be used for the defense, not of the United States, but of the British and French Empires. I did not raise my son to dy die on any battle field. If you attempt to involve this country in a war you will find many more of us who will make sure that you wont. I used to be for a third term for you, but not if you continue in the direction that you are now facing. If my president can't protect me and mine, I'll go out and get a new president. I can influence a hundred or more people before the elections. And if I can do it other mothers can and will do it. Please remember that and stop your war speeches. If we've got so much money in the treasury that we have to develop our war material factories for ENGLAND, thenwe can also use that money here in America. There are plenty of young boys, like my son, who are going around without jobs, used that money to help them earn a living. Respectfully yours Sara Ayro
