The Day a nation Cried
all seemed the same as the day before
Only today would prove to be a heart filled
tragedy, disaster and a whole lot more.
It started out as all the others
Children taken to Daycare
and to work went fathers and mothers
It was april 1995
the nineteenth as d remember
a warm day
Only at around nine clock
deep in December.
We would feel a chill as if we were
l still hear the cries, l still see the
it faces grieve for all the wasted lives
at night as I try to sleep.
for the senseless deaths I close my
eyes and weep.
my heart aches I feel such
empathy For the lines that were lost and
for the ones they left behind.
may God bless you all, may life
always treat you kind.
For the ones who are to blame
may you always feel misery, may
you always know shame
