We are a Robert Denman national consumer advocacy organization founded in 1899 Evelyn Dubrow Eugene Glover to represent consumers in the marketplace and workplace. Susan King Our members come from every state and from every walk of Virginia Kluttz life -- senior citizens, students, nurses, steelworkers, Ruth Kobell Odessa Komer accountants, immigrants. Our priority issues are health Harry Kranz care reform, food and drug safety, telemarketing fraud, Meredith M. Layer consumer/environmental issues, and fair labor standards, Odonna Mathews Dan McCurry with special emphasis on child labor. I have enclosed Larry Mitchell four newsletters we publish -- NCL BULLETIN, the oldest, Sarah Newman and longest-running consumer newsletter; the Child Labor Charlotte Newton Myke Reid Monitor, the only U. S. newsletter on the exploitation of Markley Roberts children in the workplace, Community Health Link, a Patricia Royer newsletter of the Community-Based Health Care Project Esther Shapiro Samuel A. Among those to whom the League has given this award in the past are Averell Harriman, Philip A. Hart, Esther Peterson, Herb Block, Marian Wright Edelman, Lady Bird Johnson, Claude Pepper, and last year to Senator Jay Rockefeller and to Charlayne Hunter-Gault.
