Letter to President George W. Bush from Apolo Anton Ohno

Dear Mr. President, July 11, 2006 It was a privilege to be invited by you and Mrs. Bush to attend the White House arrival ceremony and dinner of His Excellency Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan. Thank you for this rare opportunity. I feel especially blessed to have been sented at your table. It was an extraordinary honor. When I try to imagine the future, when I have children and grandchildren, I will tell them of the amazing night when I was speaking directly with The President. I always take pride in representing our country, especially at the Olympic Games. Attending this historic event at the White House makes me doubly proud to be an American of Japanese descent.
