Letter sent to President Richard Nixon by Robert R. Wilson

IS SS TWO October 18, 1971 Mr. President: As an American, I am quite disturbed by your plans to visit both Red China and Russia. These two powers are avowed Communists and are operating under the Marxist plan whose timetable is progressing on time. This includes the overthrow of the United States government and the enslavery of all peoples everywhere. I cannot understand why you, as president and a Christian, would lower the highest office in the land and succumb to their pressures. They have never and never will keep any treaties or promises unless it is to their liking and benefit. They have already caused insurrection in our armed forces, downgraded our national leaders, they have occupied key positions in our schools, and yes, many have taken to the pulpit. They are Godless atheists, cruel, without honor. I plead with you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to solemnly contemplate these visits and make sure you do the will of God who placed you in that position.
