FLORIDA 33480 EXECUTIVE OFFICE PHONE 582-1461 February 18, 1969 Dear Mr. President: Last evening, in West Palm Beach, Florida, we had the pleasure of seeing a performance of the Royal Lip- izzan Stallions. At one point Professor Ottomar Herrmann spoke to the audience and said, with great emotion, that in six months he and his family would be American Citizens and the Lipizzans would become American Lipizzans. He told his now famous story of his escape, in the middle of the night, with his family and a few horses and then he said to the assemblage, "You people in America don't realize it, but here in the United States you have a paradise on earth because you don't realize what it is like on the other side of the world." His speech was most inspiring! After the performance was over we went over to speak with him and requested that he take his message to our college campuses. Mr. President, I am asking you to please invite this gentleman to broadcast his message to our disenchanted young people.
