John R. Kasich Dec 2, 1970 1900 Cannon Drive morill Jower 2142 Ohio State University Columbus, Ohio 43210 The President The White House Washington 25, D.C. my Dear Mr. President, I am presently a freshman attending Ohio state University I also have been elected to the Undergrad Mate Student J overnment. I run for election because I am interested in becoming involved. I feel that be- coming involved in the proper way can only better an institution I am also a pre- law major and I am in terested in becoming involved in politics. my love for politics also preempted me to run for Undergraduate Government. The reason I am writing this letter John R. Kasich is to make sure my opinions get di- rectly to you through our billiant President novice Inwett I jumped at the chance of being able to make sure that you read my letter 0 think that you, us for us l can judge, are not only a great President but an even greater person I say an even greater person because you survifice your political future for the good of the country. no amer- ican could ask more. you were faced with a bleak economic picture, welfare recipient problems, a dragging was, and much more. you have either cleared or have started the wheels turning towards the easing of our problems. That is why l am "burned up" when someone says Whats hison done." However, I feel l have brought many to the fold. Because I know my letter will get through to you, I am also jump ing at the stance to ask you a prob- ally rediculous favor. I am a great admirer of yours. I, infact, worked John R. Kasich for you in 1968 in Pittsburgh, Pu and I sow you when you spare at the arena in Pittsburgh when President I aweett told me that he was going to see you, I told him I would pay a 1,000,000 to be in his place. Since I don't have a million dollars, l am relying on your grace. Would it be possible for me to come to the White House to talk and see you sometime in the future I would immediately pass up a Rose Bowl trip to see you. my parents would permit me to bly down and see you anytime and d know my grades wouldn't suffer- I know how buyy you are and this is probably a rediculous request but to me it would be a dream come true. If it is at all possible, l would appreciate a chance. all l can say is please. Finally, I can see a big "histon Victory in 72. There may be just one problem in your way but I'm sure you'll clear it. I how you me looking ahead but in 72" not wanting to. But, again say, hisan John R Rasich Sincerely.
