STE COPY FORT KNOX, KENTUCKY May 14, 1942 Dear Sir: 51.8 Hords Knew you we Joshned This Just a line to let you know I am well and hope you are the same. Sir: You know I didn't think the Army was like it is or I would have been in it a long time ago. I am only and 5/22/42 24 years old, but now I am in the Army and I like it here in Ft. Knox, Kentucky a lot. It is one of the swellest training camps I've ever seen. This Army lifeis just what you make it, if you do what's right you'll get along but if you don't, then that's your hard luck. The reason I am writing to you is because I thought you would at least like to know how some of us fellows like it. I at least want to be honest with one of the best President's of the United States of America. If you ever run for President or get nominated again you'll get my vote and a lot of others. Well, Sir, guess I'll have to close now. I've been in the Army six weeks now, and I like it here. With lots of love and will give the Japs all we got, you can count on that. S. W. A. K.
