Sir: As a former player and coach of football, I urge you to sign the National Arthritis Act. This disease is very distressing. As a father of a daughter who contracted arthritis at an early age, I can attest that it is painful and crippling. Many of my former athletes are already experiencing early stages of it. I was close to the problems of arthritis when I was national chairman in a fund raising drive. I assure you monies are des- perately needed to fight arthritis.
