Dear Mr. President: Last evening, April 7, 1952, I turned our television set on to your talk on the steel crisis; as a High School student, I think this was your finest speech. The speech had all the true facts and hit home where it belonged. Mr. President no matter what any one says you did the only thing that a man in your position could do. If I could vote, this Presidential Election this message would have won my vote, my parents say the same. In school we talk about the high cost of living, with the coming of the Steel Strike my friends thought you would give in, to big steel. This of course would raise prices again. I kept telling them that what ever you would do ,you would do the right thing because as our Commander In Chief knows the facts better then the average American Citizen does.
