Mr. George Bush
President of the U.S.A.
White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C.
Dear Mr. Bush:
Skelly
It's a pleasure for me, to have the opportunity to communicate to
you a serious problem that some of my friends and I, have suffered.
Since last September 18, 1989 our houses were destroyed by Hura-
" cane "Hugo". After the inspection completed by employees of
FEMA", I was assigned the amount of $17,000 for reconstruction
of my house. Unfortunately at this moment I haven't received any
remuneration to build my house.
My family consists of five (5) members. My husband and three (3)
children. As you know construction materials are very expensive.
My husband can rebuild our house, but "FEMA" won't permite it.
I need the services of a contractor to build my house, but they
said that the amount of $17,000 is not enough to build the house.
"FEMA" requires a lot of requisites.
These situation is the same for alls the families that were affected
by Huracane "Hugo" in our area (Naranjito and Barranquitas).
We the peoples affected, hope that you as President of the U.S.A.
can help us to solve our problem.
Sincerely,
Hilda Rosa Rios Rivera
