Your "mobilization order", delivered over radio on last
evening, was strikingly appropriate, and, as an humble American
citizen, I thank you for it. It will give courage to those who
are trying to hold the dykes against an encroaching sea. Human
fortitude has always been equal to human misfortune, and America
will not fail in the present crisis. Strength to your right arm,
as Yorktown is in sight.
