Dr. Mr. President,
S.Kelley
I am writing this letter to you in desperation.
My five year old daughter is a leukemia patient at Childrens
Hospital of Los Angeles, I know that you lost a child to
this terrible disease, and I am very sorry.
One of the research fellows is being called in by the United
States Navy to serve time owed to them for putting him
through medical school.
This doctors name is Joe Torkildson. He is not trying to get
out of his obligation to the Navy, but to postpone it by a
year. Childrens Hospital wrote a letter to the Surgeon
General with this request but it was denied.
That is why I am writing to you to see if there is anything
you can do to help. Dr. Torkildson is at a very important
point in his research, we have lost many research doctors to
AIDS research.
Children are dying and suffering from this disease everyday,
we need help desperately. There are not many doctors as
committed to find a cure for this disease as Joe Torkildson.
We need him, Please HELP
Thank you Mr. President.
