Letter from Karyl Somerton et al. to the President

A Beatle 'Yeah' For LBJ Chicago (UPI) - President Johnson picked up some new backing Saturday night - Paul McCartney, one of the Beatles. The Beatles were asked at a news conference preceding their concert here: "From what you have observed so far do you think the senator from Arizona should be elected president or President Johnson?" McCartney answered, "Well, we don't know too much about it, but just from what I read or heard I think Johnson should be president." In reply to a question whether the Beatles were glad the colonists won the Revolution, the four in unison answered "Yeah."
