The President,
Washington, D. C.
My dear Mr. President:
As voters and taxpayers (particularly
the latter), we feel strongly that you should
dissolve the Housing Administration or, at
least, eliminate from it that hopelessly in-
competent spendthrift, Mr. Wyatt. It is
high time that a stop were put to his crim-
minal waste of texpayers' money and to his
fantasticaassumptions of authority over dis-
bursements in the guise of loans for im-
practical purposes.
In this communication we are expressing
the opinion of our entire family including
two sons who are veterans of the late war
and, themselves, victims of the housing
shortage which Mr Wyatt and his agency has
aggravated rather than helped.
In this part of the country, private
contractors are putting up conventional
low-cost homes very efficiently and could
do even better if it were not for government
interference and blundering.
You are the only one who can offer any
relief at the present time without act of
Congress. The country will, I am sure, be
very grateful for an end to this housing
bureau.
Respectfully yours,
8.
