C. Dear Mr. President: I am proud of my record. I am a Civil War Veteran. Enlisted August, 1862, was Quartermaster of Lafayette Post #140, Department of New York G. A. R. Disbanded November 1926. I am one of twelve living out of 979 on that Roster. January 1927, I joined U. S. Grant Post #327, Department of New York, G. A. R. Disbanded September 1932. I am one of nineteen living out of 637 on that Roster. November 17, 1932 I went down to Fraunces Tavern and joined the Sons of the Revolution. My first vote was cast for Abraham Lincoln in 1864. I have voted for every Republican candidate for President since. I stood in line two hours and seven minutes November 8 before I could vote for you. I hope to vote for you again in 1936. May 31, 1933 I will be ninety years old. I am working six hours a day, from noon till 6 O'clock. Am active. Sight, hearing and penmanship as good as ever.
