ceived and I regret that it has not been possible
to make an earlier acknowledgment of it.
As to your kind offer to send the
President a Boston Terrier, I am sorry to say
that he already has so many dogs and pets that
it is simply impossible for him to arrange for
the accommodation of any more. I want you to
know that he is none the less appreciative of
your generous interest in this matter.
