Er 25 Con Dear minu Venerini 6/29 y beb Ehu June 26, 1962 President John F. Kennedy White House Washington, D.C. Dear Mr. President: We strongly protest and are concerned regarding the Supreme Court's ruling eliminating the simple prayer in the New York City school system. If some students do not wish to say it they can remain silent. Our currency, our pledge to the flag, the oaths taken by newly appointed governmental, state and civic officials all make reference to God. Does this mean that at some future whim of the Supreme Court they may rule that reference to God should be eliminated??? This type of ruling should certainly be cause for joy by the Russian Premier. We strongly urge and recommend that the Supreme Court ruling be reversed. Very truly yours, Frances Venezia 26 West 38 Street Bayonne, N.J.
