Veronica Ho to President Bush requesting help with naturalization and to apply for the White House Fellows program

I have had the good fortune to have been very successful financially in my endeavors in investment banking over the past five years and would like the chance to give something back to my adopted country. The White House Fellow Program appears to be an excellent opportunity to do that. Unfortunately, the Program precludes non-citizens from applying, and although my application for naturalization is pending with the Immigration and Naturalization Service, it does not appear that I will be naturalized prior to the December 15th Fellowship application deadline. A previous naturalization application submitted in 1984 was apparently lost. I have been a resident alien since 1971. My congressman, Bill Green, has indicated that the probability of my naturalization application being expedited is low. I seek your assistance in my effort to partially repay the United States for all she had done for me and my family and would appreciate any assistance in expediting the naturalization process or enabling me to apply for a Fellowship with my naturalization application pending. In the alternative, I would welcome any suggestions as to some other capacity in which I can serve on your behalf. I have enclosed a copy of my resume for your reference.
